High School =O

          High School ! uggh even typing or writing the word gives me chills. Im really nervous to go to the high school because its a whole new step in my life. I have so many questions i want to be answered before I go there. Like, Who are my teachers? Are they nice or mean? Will any of my friends be in my classes? So many questions!! But at the same time I'm very excited ! :) Like I'm finally going to High School, can you believe that ?! It seems like just yesterday i was barley going to enter Middle School. D; I'm growing up so fast, even though I can't show it because you know I'm kinda short. Lol
          The reasons why I don't want to go to High School is because what about if its hard and I get bad grades? Also because I don't want to be separated from my friends, I like the way my classes are right now, although I do wish some of my other friends were in them. BUT my BIGGEST FEARS that I have is that what about if I don't pass my EOC with a four this year ! D; Then I'm going to have to be in Algebra again and I don't want to, I want to be in Geometry !! The second thing i am afraid of is what about if I don't make the Soccer Team ! O M G That would be tragic, because almost all my life I have played soccer and I really want to be in the AL Brown High School Soccer Girls Team ! That's my ultimate Goal Next Year... Oh and to get Good Grades the whole year. :D
          Well these are my thoughts on High School & hopefully when I end up being there it isn't that bad. Thanks for reading and hopefully you enjoyed it :)
         
       

Sometimes Soccer is Cruel !

          This is a fact known by Soccer Players, bruises on legs, sore muscles, and practicing everyday so you can become better to put your hands on that trophy
          Sometimes we can't go on but we don't quit. Sometimes we are hurt but we still go on. Sometimes the ball won't go inside the goal but we keep trying. Sometimes the ball punches us in the face but we get back up. And Sometimes we lose really bad but at least we had fun.
          Sometimes Soccer is Cruel.
And every time when this happens, we all do the same. We get straight back up. We cheer and laugh, we  win or lose, we have fun. And we go on. This is the price of playing soccer. And also, arguably, the noblest sportsmanship.
          Sometimes, Soccer is cruel, and we have to accept it as a part of the sport you love. And when its your turn to get hurt, well deal with it and go on.
          But what if you always end up hurt?
          Surely, some one unable to walk, useless of doing anything can be forgiven by thinking its always them only getting hurt, after they see their future crushing down before their eyes when they get kicked by someone and it feels like alot of bees started to sting you, you wake up without a leg. Surely, all of us watching from our TV, laying on the couch, in devastation and and horror of the scene, are absolutely to believe the same thing.
          Bad enough, Soccer is very painful. Bad enough it has a history of  horrible injuries and broken hearts of fans for those who pass away. Bad enough , all that, yet at the end of the day , these are disasters caused by the sport you are good at , you love, you wanna play forever.
          Sometimes, though, you wonder if thats all that happends while playing soccer.
          But thats not the case, you have to be careful and know what your doing. And we cant control what happens while playing.
          Stand up. Weep and scream. Memorialize those who cant play anymore. Keep Going. And show everyone that even though the sport hurts you, you wont quit because you follow your dreams.

Your Personality. If you want to have an honest friendship with someone then you have to act like the total YOU, because if you act like someone else then when ever you actually wanna act like yourself no one is going to like you.    
    For example me, I act all crazy and some people think I am weird but I really don't care what they think because its my personality and that's the thing that makes you unique ! :)

         Well basically if you want to know if you have true friends then they need to have the same things that makes you a Good Friend. You get what Im trying to say ? If you don't OH WELL :D hahaha just kidding.
          Like if your friend tells you something that isn't true then from that point and on you should know that they aren't good friends to have. Thats one thing that akes them COOL is being HONEST.
          Also your real friends will accept you by how you act towards them not if your cool or by your looks.
So next time some one so called your friend judges you then you know that isnt your real friend !!

Hunger Games the Movie ! :D

   AMAZING  ! That is the first thing that came out of my mouth as soon as the movie ended.
   If were to rate this movie from a scale of one to five it would definitely be a five. I loved how when
  ever I read the book imagined the images in my head and so when i got the opportunity to watch the movie some of them where almost how I thought they would be and that was pretty cool !
         The scene where Peeta disguises himself as the plants during the Hunger Games, inspired me alot because since I love to draw that made me want to practice even more so when ever I wanna scare someone I can do the same thing he did >:D hehehe.
         In my opinion I think both the book and the movie were awesome. Although the movie missed
some parts that the book had. Like for example when ever Claudius declared them winners it didn't
have the part where the hovercraft takes them away and starts to operate Peeta. Also I never noticed
that one Avox Girl  she talks about in the book.

This was my favorite part although it was very sad ! :( <3

Soccer !

          It was a hot summer day and so I decided to go to Baker's Creek to chill with some friends. When I arrived, to my surprise there was no one there. Since it was empty with none of my amigos to be there I walked up to the field beside my old Pre-School McKnight. I was so happy when I saw alot of people I knew there! After I said Hey to some people, I noticed everyone was sweaty and tired because they were playing soccer. Since I didn't just want to stand there and do nothing I decided to join and play with them. I was in the girls team and we had to go against some guys, it looked easy at first but then when your actually in the game it's very difficult. I did pretty good for a beginner even some of my friends were like "Wow, Emeli I didn't know you had it in you". I was like "Me either, but I like the sport very much now". So we made a plan on meeting on the field after school Monday-Friday. We all agreed on it, so I told my mom and she took me out to buy some cleats. I was so happy when I went to get my first pair of  soccer shoes :)
          Since that day forward my friends and I go to the park and play soccer. First we split up in teams and after that we start playing. It's very fun and I ALWAYS fall down some how! :) hahah its very funny because everyone comes up to me and say "Are you okay Emeli"? then I just look at them and burst out laughing and they just join too. After they pick me up from the ground we resume the game. Its very hard at first because you need skill and you can't get tired easily. Since I was use to running, I ran in alot of races, that part was simple to me because I never got tired. I love soccer so much I don't care how the weather looks like, I still play it.
         Now since I am in 8th grade I actually have an opportunity to play against people my age. I can't wait till Monday March 5, 2012 because thats when we have our first soccer gane at Frank Liske Park ! :) Im so excited my heart pounds fast when I think about it. My goal this year is to win EVERY SINGLE game, but the one I am mostly concern about is beating concord, since last year we didnt do very well thats why I wanna win. Pues also hopefully we have enough girls on the team because most of them are bailing out on us and they are joining the volley ball team. Which gets me mad but I guess I can't change thier mind!

My Progress ! :)

My three favortie posts that I have typed so far in eight grade are the following.
-Comparing myself with a Character I liked this one very much because I was actually very similar to a character in the book which made it even more interesting for me to read. Also I could imagine my self being in Rue's position.
-Don't Judge others The reason i like this one was because I put some of my experiances when people bully me at school. You know so if the reader is reading my blog they will know what it is like to be bullied and judge for being your self.
-Time Traveling This is the best one I liked because it was so amazing when I was watching the videos on YouTube. I was just like o m g! I didn't even know what to say. Another reason this was my favorite was because I added alot of detail's so the reader can imagine the video with them watching it. Whhich made me really proud of myself! :)
         Well I have two of my posts that I feel are the best examples of my creativity. The first one is The Tale Tell Heart. I think this is very creative because I didn't explain the book in just words I made a pop up book which can make the reader actually want to see my blog post instead of not understanding anything I say if i just type it up. The other posts I also thought was creative was Don't Judge Others because I put my self  in the position of the person being bullied to explain how they feel.
        Some evidence of my growth as a writer is my post of My Perfect World because when I went back and read it i noticed that I use to skip to another topic and not explain what I am trying to say very well. But thanks to Mr. Fulton now I know what needs to be included in my writing so it can turn out good. So now when I write short stories such as Time Traveling & Don't Judge Others, I noticed i actually write a whole lot more and I write as if i was talking to my readers so they can understand better and I also add good description in my stories. 
        What does the World Say About Beauty? I think this post is proof that i am a thinker/learner because even though it was a short passage that I put allot of effort into it. I told the reader an example of how the world would turn out to be if we all had to be a certain way so we could fit in. Also I left them thinking about how it would be if you couldn't tell a certain special person that they are unique because they really aren't since in this world you have to be a certain way just to fit it.
         

"Don't Judge Others"

       Okay first of all I don’t get why you would want to judge someone! It’s not like your going to become famous. Maybe you would at school but that’s only because people are going to think you are cool since you hurt some one’s feelings. Anyways like i was saying making fun of people won’t get you a job, I bet it won’t even get you through school because you are only worried about bullying someone innocent. I really hate seeing people get bullied. Especially when people don’t know what the person being bullied is going through. Although sometimes it’s the bully that is going through a hard time and that’s the only reason they act like they do. Like people think i am “cool” , but guess what i even get bullied!  I get made fun of alot because of my height but i really don’t care what people think of me. Some things DO hurt my feelings like when people call me names or when they say i look ugly or something but I just think of it as a compliment because I know certain people are jealous.

That’s the main reason people bully or judge others, because they are jealous. I mean you know we all have been jealous of someone in our life. You know there’s always gonna be that person that does something better than you. But let me tell you something bullying them or making them feel really bad about their self's doesn’t solve the problem. So don’t do it ! And remember if you see someone being bullied or being judged stand up for them and you will have a bunch of friends, you might loose some put those you loose were never your real friends.

Time Traveling :)

One day while I was sitting down watching TV my cousin came for a visit. Then out of no where she told me that she had this cool video to me on YouTube. So we logged on and waited till the computer was fully loaded. Then on YouTube we typed in time traveling caught on tape. With just a click all these videos popped up. So we picked one to watch and it was this video from an old TV show and in one of the episodes this women in the background walking by and it looked like she was talking on the phone. It was very freaky because that show was from a long time ago and by that time there wasn’t any phones around. My eyes got big! After that video I started searching for more just thinking about other amazing things i could find.

Then all of a sudden I saw a video that was named “Time traveling with evidence” or something like that. Anyways my point is that when i watched it i was like WHOA!! It was about this man that had a leak under his sink and while he was fixing it he felt weird and he said it was like he hit his head. When he got up from the sink he said everything looked normal but when he went outside to see where his family was he was surprise and confused because of what he saw. When he had realized that he was looking at himself but older. At that moment he didn't know what to do, if i was him i would be really confused and i would be asking alot of questions, then he talked to his older self and they just started being friendly. The YouTube video was like an interview and when he showed the video he had for evidence that he was in the future it was him beside himself  and they were smiling. Then they both showed the tattoos they had on the same arm. Whoa it was crazy my cousin and me were surprised. Then we watched some other crazy videos on YouTube.
After that video we watched more and more until she had to leave. That was a really fun day. But then i thought in my head. "Can't time traveling affect the future and the past''? Like it will really mess up everything. For example if you go to the past and show them about electricity, they will have electricity and when you go back to your present it will be more advance. But i guess these people didn't affect anything. Thanks for reading my blog ! :)

My Childhood :D

     There we were Meliza and her soft brown skin not too dark and not too light but just the right color. Well of course me and my short self was there too, so there we were sitting on the slide staring into space and thinking about our futures. Hoping that the day we will be able to get on the"Big Playground". Yeah., that's what we called the playground on the other side of the fence. You know since we were only in kindergarten we couldn't go to the other playground because that's where the older kids went and the teachers didn't want no accidents to occur. But yeah there we were thinking , even though we were young Meliza and me always wondered how our future will turn out. I've always wanted to be a teacher because I love helping and working with other people. I don't know if I still wanna be a teacher, now I kinda want to be a famous soccer player or be a hairstylist. Things change as you get older but if you really want to accomplish your dream, you need to try hard and get good grades. Even if its very difficult it will at least get you somewhere in life.    
     Anyways I have this very funny and unusual experience from when I was in Elementary. When I was in either third or fourth grade. I was with this friend named Allison and we were just going outside when suddenly I hear teachers yelling "Catch That kid".! I was like what ?! Then I saw my friend running as fast as he could, it wasnt long before I reacted and noticed he was being chased by the teacher that was yelling. Whoaa it was like he was famous or something because everybody just stopped what they were doing and stared at him. It was crazy. After a while he stopped and thats when we see the principle approaching him with a mad look on his face. After that I guess he got suspended, but the real mystery is that no one knows what he did. Many say he spit in a teachers face but I don't belive that. Well yeah I never knew that someting like that would happend.
     This was some of the experiances I will never forget from Elementary. You see "School is like my second home, I feel safe and loved by friends, its like a wish come true". What are some of your sexperiancnes in Elementary that are always on your mind?

Hunger Games Research Project

          Imagine being picked to fight till death just for the intertainment of other people! Well thats how Katiness is feeling when she goes to the reaping and they pick her sisters name out of the bowl. Can you believe her name was in there only once and out of like 1000 other names they had to pick PrimRose Everdeen!!! Thats not fair and I would do the same thing Katiness did. I would volunteer so i take my sisters place so nothing bad can happend to her. Plus Katiness is the one with the skills because she goes to the woods and shoots her bow and arrow and practices with Gale her best guy friend. Anyways back to the reaping. The boy tribute,which thats what they call the people they choose for the hunger games, is Petta Malark. That means this is one of the people that Katiness is gonna need to kill so she can survive and win.But yeah so it then turns out that Haymitch, districts 12 only surviver of the hunger games, wants Katiness to be in love with each other and yeahh. So then the hunger games start and Peeta betrays Katiness. Rue and Katiness form an alliance. Then later on she dies and the capital changes the rules so Katiness and Peeta can work together. At the end They win and she actually do fall in love forreal :)(Hunger Games book)
          The Gladiators are very similar to the Hunger Games because they both  made innocent people do it and they had to fight to survive. Also in the book they fought against some weird looking creatures and Gladiators sometimes needed to fight against tigers or other sorts of animals. The matches took place in a arena just like in the hunger games!(Chris) One of the main reason its alot like the hunger games is because its to entertain the public or who ever is watching it. Well when I was researching I found out that some of the fighters in the arena were volunteers and this really relates alot to Katiness.("Gladiator.") Well yeah can you imagine that the Gladiators have alot of similar things with the hunger games!? This was one of the authors inspiration on writing the book. 
          Now we are going to talk about throwing an arrow and the techniques you need to have to be a good bow and arrow shooter. Well first off all Shooting an arrow has been around for a very long time and its basically used for the same thing. You know hunting and combat.(Jimmy) Well I think to be a very good bow and arrow shooter you must have really good aim and you should practice alot. That's what Katiness did out in the woods with Gale so that is how she got an 11 when they saw her performance. But yeah, Well this might be a little off topic but I think its important,here we go. Katiness's dad died in a mine explosion but before all that happend he showed her his hunting skills and he taught her also he made her a bow and arrow. So I am pretty sure thats the only reason she is good but thats a good thing because she won't die of hunger cause she knows how to hunt for animals.
          Well now you know a big chunk of Katiness's life and depending on what type of person you are will also depend what u would do if you were in her situation. Like i said before I would take my sisters place just for one reason and thats becasue I lovc her. Would you ? Anyways an amazing thing is that you now know information about the Gladiators and how they use to battle back in those times. Im glad we stopped that becasue i wouldn't enjoy watching people sufer. Also to be a good bow and arrow shooter like Katiness with what i wrote to you about it will help you become a better one. Thanks for taking your time and reading this. (Emeli)

Comparing my Personality with a Character xD

Okay :) Well  i think i am more like Rue because i like to be sneaky around people. Also me and her have a some things in common like we are both small but fast and brave! Another reason i am like Rue is because i love to climb trees and if i was in the hunger games i would most likely want to hide away from everyone so they will kill each other and I would know their little secrets like Rue did with the careers.!!! BUT!!! At the same time i feel like Katiness because i love to go explore also if i knew how to throw a bow-and-arrow i would definitely want to hunt some animals. Like i also feel i am more like her because i sometimes have the same ''love'' problem like her. I can't make out who i like and i am with one person maybe the other one will get mad and then drama ! But in katiness case its much bigger because she has known Gale longer and Peeta a little while and she already kissed him. i was like OMG O.o yeah that's what i think....Although the main reason i am like Katiness is cause i would surely stand up for my sister if she got chosen to be in the Hunger Games:DD

Chapter 20 Hunger Games Reading Response !! :)

Ok Well these chapters have been off the hook! Like can you imagine that they changeed to rules of the Hunger Games!! Exactly i can't either. Now Katiness is going to go try and locate Peeta so they can work together and win, well thats if Peeta doesn't die because of all those wounds he has all over his body. Would you go locate Peeta after they changed the rules? why or why not? I dont know if i would.. I am like in between i would but at the same time i wouldn't. Like i would because i would have some help and it would be easier to win but at the same time i wouldn't because i don't know if i should trust Peeta. Today i read that they had another Message from the Capital saying that at dawn to go to the Cornucopia because there will be a backpack waiting for each district with something important that they will need inside it! hmm i wonder what it would be. What do you think it would be? Hahah i think its funny how Haymitch sent Katiness that medicine bottle that makes you go to sleep for Peeta so she will go to the Cornucopia :) Well thats why i think Haymitch sent it. But yeah this book is very interesting so far and i wonder what will happend in the next chapter !!?? :D

Chapter 18 :)

Well first of all can you imagine that Rue DIES!!!! Thats messed up , isn't? If I was Katiness I would feel the same way as she did. But the good thing about it is that since Katiness killed the boy from district 1 now she wont be afraid to kill the rest of the carrers. I kinda think that Katiness likes peeta because she is always mentioning him at some point in the book.  Do you think the same ? Its unbeliveable how they changed a rule of the  Hunger Games!!  Now both memebers from the district can win if they are both alive ! Thats insane bu ti think its very fair because since they are from the same district they are friends and so they won't need to kill each other. See this is why i think katiness does like peeta.. At the end she blurts out his name plus that was the first thing in her mind. I would not do  that because he is such a back stabber >:( But yeah these are my Toughtful thoughtd about the hunger Games Chapter

Hunger Games Reading Response

Oh my goodness ! I can not believe that Peeta actually had alot of bruises on his face. This means he fought someoone and i would have never thought he would do such thing. Then when i finished reading it said he was going to finish the poor girl i mean who who ever imagine Peeta doing that horrible thing?! Well i know i wouldn't but guess what!, he did finish her ..He killed her ! I was very surprise. But the funny thing is that the Careers are just using him to find Katiness. Thats the only reason he is still alive. Well back to Katiness...she found WATER :) and she was so happy, wouldn't you? Anyways you know how the gamemakers want thier audiance to be happy for what they are watching right? Well since no one has died they started to throw fire balls at Katiness. I feel like that is messed up how they care so much how thier audiance feels,but at the same time if i was watching the Hunger Games and no one was dying i would  be so bored, Whats your opinon about this ?Okai well now back to  Katiness's actions again, well she was on the tree and she suddenly saw to big eyes and she figured out that it was Rue. She gave Katiness a great idea that defeated the careers waitng to kill her. (: She threw a nest of Tracker Jackers on them although she got stung three times which had a bad effect on her!!

Stradegy Quick Write :)

I think good strategies that the people can use at the hunger games are to make very good traps so the other contestants can fall for them and get trapped so they can be killed. Or another idea can be to, try to make your own weapons. This idea will match perfectly with Katiness because since her dad use to make Bow and Arrows she can close her eyes and try to remember how to do one. One of my perfect ideas that i came up with is to hide either in a bush or tree and then when a person from another district comes you instantly jump on their back and start to attack them! These are some of my ideas that i think will work well when you get chosen for the Hunger Games.  :)
